Following the success of the six previous editions, we are pleased to invite you to “the 7th Guangzhou International Symposium on Oncology" - an event that explores the latest advances in cancer care, research and prevention by providing an international platform for oncologists to share their progress.

The symposium is co-organized by the Guangdong Provincial Anticancer Association, the US Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (USCACA), Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center, and Cancer Communications. The three day event will begin on December 6th to December 8th, 2018, at the Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou, China.

The inaugural “1st Guangzhou International Symposium on Oncology” was held at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center which attracted a large crowd of scientists and physicians from all over the world (including the USA, France, Germany, and Australia). Among them renowned Prof. Baruch S. Blumberg - a member of the Fox Chase Cancer Center, a University Professor of Medicine and Anthropology and a Nobel Prize laureate. Many Chinese experts also attended the conference, such as Prof. Zhu Chen, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Science. Prof. Jie-Fu Huang, Vice Minister for Health, experts from the Academy of Science and Engineering, several presidents of cancer centers, as well as famous oncologists.

In the relatively short history of the symposium we are building momentum. So far, more than 900 experts from 13 different countries have provided lectures during the conferences with over 7,000 attendees. Many internationally recognized oncologists from the United States, China and other countries have provided presentations addressing major topical issues in cancer research from basic, clinical and translational approaches.

“The 7th Guangzhou International Symposium on Oncology" will continue focusing on our primary objectives: “delivering the latest advances in oncology and increasing international scientific exchanges” for the purpose of highlighting international academic progress on cancer research and promoting the development of oncological research in China. The symposium organizing committee is inviting Chinese and international academicians, as well as many leading oncology experts to share their perspectives on the current status of cancer research (basic, clinical and translational). The symposium will be a high level academic gathering, playing an important role in promoting cancer care and research on an international scale.
